hi retards, u/redditorsion here. As a Rabbi for a local Church of mine, I have learned one thing about my teachings is that everything has a beautiful start, including this blog experiment. I felt the need to kick off nicely with that little speech of mine.

If you don't like this style of essay-like garbage about shitty topics, then you won't like this blog experiment. Otherwise... :troll:

The Great Invasion

The first thing I would like to talk about would be the one thing that makes us human: communities. From the time we as a species first got around to be with one another, to the plethora of social media accounts we follow, there's no denying that on whatever platform or scenario you're in, you're bound to be with other people. You're bound to be with people with different views, interests, hobbies, and ideas. This is how we make friends, enemies, and everyone in-between (generally speaking). While this helps us be more open towards different ideals and social characteristics of people, it also means that we are bound to clash with them. I mean, there's a good reason as to why wars are a thing, or why this country believes in this while another may believe in that.

This transitions nicely over to what I really want to talk about: quality of subreddits.
In this day and age, communities, or more specifically meme communities on Reddit are divided -- sort of like societies; one humor may be funny in one community, and another may be flat-out-unfunny in another. But within the group of what I'd consider to be the hip and modern "shitposting" esque meme subreddits, you have communities like r/shitposting, r/196, and r/gayspiderbrothel.

These aforementioned communities, while not funny in my eyes, serve their purpose: to be hubs for people to talk, shitpost in, and everything in-between, with varying levels of quality behind them.

There is, however, a fatal issue with these subreddits: each one of them are blended together. These communities have lost their unique humor that has now been succumbed to this "samey" content that you'll find in each one of these communities. If you find something funny on r/shitposting, 9 times out of 10 you'll find a similar post (and an equally-funny submission) on 196 or the like.

The issue with this, however, is that this general feeling of "samey"ness with content has now been spreading to OkBuddyRetard - a subreddit that, in my eyes, is NOT supposed to be like these aforementioned communities; OKBR is supposed to be about envisioning a small (or mentally handicapped) child coming up with a meme that is, as the name of the subreddit implies... retarded. This humor of ours ought to be unique in the world of Reddit, which is why this issue of people not understanding our subreddit properly is important. Many users - especially newcomers - fail to read the rules on OkBuddyRetard and get a general grasp of what it's supposed to be. This kind of content - the ones that us moderators despise - are almost always the usual garbage: esmBot/iFunny GIFS, shitty captions on the top (with an image/gif to go along with it), boring cum/shit/piss memes, and even content that straight up doesn't belong on OKBR (like r/skamteboard posts).

To further emphasize my point, this invasion of "samey"ness content (and just irrelevant stuff altogether) is significant for what OkBuddyRetard is supposed to be all about. OkBuddyRetard needs to be different from r/196, shitposting, and so on and so forth, because if those subreddits already exist with similar levels of humor... we don't need to be part of them, then.

With what I've said above, people are bound to meet new people. One sense of humor may be funny, and another might not be. This inevitable issue with humans is what, in the long term, leads to normie and STUPID CRINGE memes on r/okbuddyretard.

Search and Destroy

There is, however, something we can do: we need to get rid of anyone who is active in r/196, r/shitposting, r/gayspiderbrothel, and so on and so forth. OkBuddyRetard deserves to stray from these subreddits in order to retain its unique sense of humor. Unfortunately, though, the nerd Admins over at Reddit don't like it when we shadowban users for their account's history (despite r/FemaleDatingStrategy, r/Sino, and other subreddits already doing this...) We need to boycott Reddit. Neckbeards, Losers, Fatasses - RISE UP!!!! We shall find a way to purify OKBR and get rid of any normie traces present on God's desired meme community.
